Safety tips for buyers

• Meet in person, in a busy public place, during the day. Bring someone with you for high-value items.
• Inspect before you pay. Check that the item matches the ad and works as described.
• Never pay in advance — no deposits, “reservation fees” or transfers to someone you have not met.
• Be suspicious of prices that are too good to be true, and of sellers who push you to decide quickly.
• For vehicles and property, check ownership documents carefully and verify them with the relevant authority before paying.
• Keep the conversation in ZolMarket chat so there is a record if something goes wrong.

Safety tips for sellers

• Hand over the item only after you have received and confirmed full payment.
• Be careful with payment screenshots and transfer “confirmations” — check your own account balance instead.
• Do not share passwords, verification codes, bank card numbers or copies of your identity documents with buyers.
• Only put a phone number on your ad if you are comfortable with it being public.
• Choose a safe public place to meet rather than your home when you can.

Common scams

• Someone asks you to pay or receive money through a link they send you.
• A “buyer” offers more than your asking price and asks for the difference back.
• Someone asks for a verification code that was sent to your phone or email.
• A seller says the item is abroad or with a “shipping agent” and needs payment first.
• Anyone claiming to be ZolMarket staff and asking for your password or payment. We never do this.

What you cannot list

The full list is in section 5 of our Terms of Use. In short, the following are not allowed: illegal drugs and prescription medicines; weapons, ammunition and explosives; stolen, counterfeit or pirated goods; alcohol and tobacco where restricted; endangered animals and products made from them; adult or sexual content and services; human organs and anything involving human trafficking; identity documents and personal data; fake currency and financial scams; and anything else that is illegal.

Community standards

• Be honest in your ads and respectful in your messages.
• No harassment, threats, hate speech, or discrimination.
• No spam, duplicate ads, or misleading titles and photos.
• No sexual content of any kind.

Protecting children

ZolMarket is for adults aged 18 and over. We have zero tolerance for any content or behaviour that sexualises, exploits or endangers children. Such content is removed immediately, the account is permanently banned, and we report it to the relevant authorities. If you see anything of this kind, report it in the app straight away or email legal@zolmarket.com.

How to report an ad or a user

1. Report an ad: open the ad and tap Report Ad.
2. Report a user: open your chat with them, open the menu at the top, choose Report & Spam and pick a reason.
3. Block a user: open the chat with them, open the menu at the top and tap Block User. They will no longer be able to message you.

Our moderation team reviews reports and may remove the ad, warn the user, or suspend or permanently ban the account. You can also email support@zolmarket.com with a link to the ad or profile.

If you have been a victim of fraud

Report the user in the app, keep your chat messages and any payment evidence, and contact your local police. We co-operate with valid requests from law-enforcement authorities sent to legal@zolmarket.com.
